England Netball


England Netball is the National Governing Body which oversees, promotes and manages netball in England. Formed in 1926 as the All England Net Ball Association, the organisation has be the flag bearer of the sport for over 90 years.

With 100,000 members and more than one million people participating each week, netball is one of the largest female team sports in the UK. The England Roses are ranked third in the world and the city of Liverpool will play host to the 2019 edition of the Netball World Cup.

England Netball is delighted to take on the role as host nation on behalf of the International Netball Federation (INF) and looks forward to welcoming the global netball family in 2019.

ACC Liverpool


ACC Liverpool is a world-class event campus located on the banks of Liverpool’s world heritage waterfront and is home to Echo Arena, BT Convention Centre, Exhibition Centre Liverpool and TicketQuarter.

Since opening in 2008 the organisation has successfully staged an impressive array of national and international events, from concerts to conferences, business gatherings to showcase exhibitions and sporting competitions.

Our world class venue boasts a talented management team, delivering a winning combination to event organisers, delegates and visitors alike. In 2019, ACC Liverpool will host the 15th staging of the Netball World Cup and we are looking forward to welcoming a global audience of competing nations and putting on a show that the sport can be truly proud of.

Liverpool City Council


Liverpool City Council is one of the largest local authorities in the UK serving a population of 465,000.  It provides a wide range of services including education, social care, leisure, parks maintenance and also takes a lead on the regeneration of the city. 

Liverpool is known across the globe for its success in staging major sports and large-scale outdoor events and is proud to be part of the team bringing the 2019 Netball World Cup to the city.

UK Sport


UK Sport is the nation’s high performance sports agency responsible for the strategic investment of around £350 million of National Lottery and Exchequer funding in Olympic and Paralympic sports preparing for Tokyo 2020 and beyond.

UK Sport’s Major Events Programme will invest over £50million of National Lottery funding through to 2023 to support the bidding and staging costs of major events on home soil, as well as providing specialist support to organisers. Events are supported for their likely performance impact on GB athletes, but also to maximise the wider sporting, social, cultural, economic and environmental benefits.

Events already secured include the 2018 Women’s Hockey World Cup at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, 2019 Taekwondo World Championships in Manchester and UCI 2019 Road World Championships in Yorkshire.
