When will Northern Ireland be playing?

Preliminaries Stage One (12-14 July)

Northern Ireland will play in Group A for Preliminaries Stage One and will face Australia, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in their opening World Cup matches:

Friday 12 July, session one, court one: Northern Ireland v Australia

Saturday 13 July, session three, court two: Northern Ireland v Sri Lanka

Sunday 14 July, session six, court two: Northern Ireland v Zimbabwe

Preliminaries Stage Two (15-18 July)

Fixtures for Preliminaries Stage Two will be confirmed following conclusion of Preliminaries Stage One on 14 July.

Due to the nature of the competition format, we cannot guarantee which sessions Northern Ireland will play in during this phase of the tournament and can only offer the below information as a guide to fans wishing to purchase tickets to support the Thistles during this part of the tournament.

If Northern Ireland finish in positions 1-3 in Group D

If Northern Ireland finish first, second or third in Preliminaries Stage One Group A, they will play in Group F in Preliminaries Stage Two and will play in the following sessions:

Monday 15 July, session seven: court allocation to be confirmed

Tuesday 16 July, session 10

Thursday 18 July, session 13

If Northern Ireland finish in position four in Group A

If Northern Ireland finish fourth in Preliminaries Stage One Group A, they will play in Group E in Preliminaries Stage Two and will play in the following sessions:

Monday 15 July, session seven: court allocation to be confirmed

Tuesday 16 July, session nine

Wednesday 17 July, session 11

Friday 19 July, session 15

Opening Weekend Northern Ireland Supporter packages include tickets for the opening day, (Friday 12 July), which includes the opening ceremony, plus tickets for Northern Ireland’s match sessions on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July.

Full Opening Weekend, includes a total of six session tickets for the whole opening weekend – Friday 12 to Sunday 14 July, including all of Northern Ireland’s three Preliminaries Stage One games.

Closing weekend package includes tickets for both semi-finals and final sessions and medal ceremonies. If Northern Ireland finish in positions 1-3 in their Preliminaries Stage One group, this package will include tickets to their play-offs and placings game.
